Cervinia is all about enjoying mile upon mile of perfectly groomed, high altitude, beginner and intermediate slopes on wonderful snow, gazing at the amazing mountain scenery underneath the Italian side of the world famous Matterhorn. It’s perfect for early or late season holidays.
Cervinia’s resort centre sits right at the foot of its slopes meaning you can enjoy an apres ski drink before heading into the pretty, traffic free, traditional village.
Here there is a wide variety of shops, bars, restaurants and very comfortable hotels.
There are several lifts from the resort centre up into the slopes so most of the accommodation offers great convenience.
Cervinia has a warm welcoming ambiance and although there is a wide range of bars they never get too lively or boisterous and the apres ski is more relaxed than pulsating.
The real charm of Cervinia are its many wonderful restaurants which offer delicious cuisine from around the world, as well as you would expect excelling in the number and quality of Italian options.

Skiing and snowboarding in Cervinia
Amazing altitude! There are not many resorts in Europe where you start your skiing at an altitude of 2050m and still fewer where the slopes reach over 3800m and this is where Cervinia scores most highly. A forecast of rain up to 2000m means fresh snow at the foot of the slopes in Cervinia!
The slopes are perfect for beginners and intermediates as the mountain is largely of blue gradient. This means families or groups of mixed ability can explore the whole mountain together. There are areas of steeper slopes particularly up towards the area shared with Zermatt for those looking for a bit more of a challenge.
Cervinia’s lift system is lift system is very efficient and your movement around the mountain is largely on fast lifts with few queues.
